I’m so happy with the way this crocheted dress turned out. It was originally a top, but I thought to myself, how good would that look if it was a dress… So I decided to take it off of the mannequin and keep going. It’s perfect for the beach and boardwalk with sandals, or dressed up with heels and pearls. It has a scalloped collar, ruffles, handcrafted fabric and crocheted roses, with faux pearls and crystals. I am finally finished with this gorgeous handmade tattered Shabby Chic dress, perfect for a special occasion or non-traditional bride. This gorgeous romantic dress is light and airy, a Stevie Nicks-style asymmetrical hem, with tiny black beads and fabric flowers on thin straps and on the skirt (please see photos, then continue reading)...

Just a hint of draping fabric is gathered at the chest...

and a “fairy” skirt has lots of tattered tulle, its longest point reaching 45 inches from the chest down to just above the feet...
